I love these sandals so much, I’ve purchased them in three different colors so far. They’re lightweight, and come in such beautiful colors. And they’re comfortable. I was worried that the braids would dig into my feet over time, but I was wrong. I wore them over two days at an amusement park, and easily walked over 10 miles each day. No blisters, no bruising, not even so much as one tender spot. The soles are comfortable – firm but not hard.
I struggle with sandals because my feet are wider than average, or at least my toe area is. They’re boxy, and most sandals will eventually irritate my toes. Even my beloved Teva sandals will eventually abrade my pinky toes with enough walking. But not Plakas. They have become my favorite sandals I own.
They’re versatile. I’m wearing them with jeans, with shorts, with dresses. They’re casual Friday approved and I’ve worn them camping. Also, they’re true to size.
If you’re on the fence about purchasing them, just do it. The only regret you’ll have is not having purchased them in more than one color.

I have no idea why it is so hard to find a nice looking, comfortable and stylish pair of navy blue flat sandals. These are a great value and I love the way they look. My only concern will be if I can walk in them for a long time. They seem to be a little hard with not a lot of cushion. Worth keeping even if I can only use them for short outings though.

I was so surprised that these shoes are comfortable, so well made and so cute in person! I bought them because they’re cute…and they look just as good as in the photos. But I thought I’d have to wear bandaids to break them in and have sore feet if I walked a lot. Nope…these are comfortable, the material does not scrape or cut my feet. I wore them for several hours and didn’t have sore feet by the end. I ended up buying another pair in a different color. Oh, and no weird toxic smells!

This is my first time buying Plakas and I absolutely LOVE them .. like going bare foot! They are very well made, comfortable and while they do take a bit of finessing to get them on, once you do, they are so flattering and rather sexy, too 😉 I would definitely purchase again!

I love these sandals. They are so freaking cute. They fit perfectly if you have a narrow foot. These are not shoes that I could walk around all day in though. After a couple of hours the straps dig into my feet and I already have a fairly narrow foot. The straps are not stretchy and while they are comfortable for a little while, I wouldn’t go to a faire with them – or any place where I’d walk for long periods of time. Even just wearing at the house all day mostly sitting, the straps dig in over time. I wouldn’t purchase these if you have a wide or fat foot. Also these are somewhat difficult to put on. Overall they are the cutest sandal I own. They are not slippery when your foot sweats either. I live in TX where it’s hell 5 months out of the year. I wore them in 100 degree weather and had no slipping at all. I have not tried them in the rain though.

These are so cute and very comfortable so far, just wearing them around the house to break them in. The bottoms are nice and thick, doesn’t seem cheap. Even came with a cute little toe ring! Definitely look at the size chart – I’m normally an 8.5 in shoes but I measured my foot and went with a size 7 in these sandals. Fits like a glove.

I wasn’t sure about ordering these but they were so cute I took a chance anyway. I have trouble with foot pain and so many walking shoes feel terrible on my feet, even very expensive ones. I’m so glad I gave these a try! First day wore them for 12 hours straight. No pain at all. I took them for a spin on the treadmill for 1/2 an hour at 3 mph. Walked up and down slopes outside. Walked all around the house. They are awesome, so much so that I just ordered 3 more pairs in different colors. Size 9, B for reference. They are true to size, allow my toes to spread, and the back strap secures my narrow heel which is a constant problem with most shoes that have a wide enough toe box for my foot.

So glad I found these sandals! They have just been to southeast Asia with me for six months and they were perfect for every occasion. From the beach to long walks to dancing the night away in all weathers they both looked great and felt comfortable. I got so many compliments wearing them. Ideal for if you’re packing a capsule wardrobe, they come in a handy drawstring bag and take up very little space. I am definitely buying more pairs as there are so many lovely colours to choose from.

I love these sandals! They’re super cute and they fit perfectly. They aren’t meant for wearing for long periods of time as there’s no arch support but a couple hours is great. Also the straps aren’t stretchy so I’d say medium difficulty for putting them on, but once they’re on they’re pretty secure and don’t move around on your foot much.
My only complaint is that after about 10 months the bottom started to peel off and I didn’t wear them for 6-7 months because of fall/winter. I really wish they’d last longer because I don’t want to have to buy a new pair every year

I was stoked for these. I have a pair of the hiking plakas and they are seriously my favorite shoes and so cute. These ones were a struggle to put on and I was hoping the color would be more of a sandy pink. I’ll send these ones back but the hiking ones are perfection if you are looking for a comfy walking sandal that are super cute.
