I want to start off by saying I have ordered hoops from this brand/ seller before and had no problem so I thought it would be safe to order from here again. I have a metal allergy which only allows me to wear real gold, sterling silver, or surgical steel jewelry. The earrings say they are gold plated sterling silver so it was a no brainer for me to order. When I got the earrings I was so excited because they were beautiful but after only a few hours of wearing them my earlobes started feeling soar so I just took them off without paying close attention to them it was the end of the night anyway so I put them away. The next day I decided to give them another go and couldn’t wear them all day because my piercing started itching and oozing from the back. When I took them off I realized the poor quality of the earring back. It had only been two days and the earring backs were already tarnished and oxidized (I did not shower with these on). So although the earrings may be sterling silver gold plated the earring backs definitely aren’t. The back of my earlobe peeled and is now scabbing. The title of the earrings is misleading if it is advertised as sterling silver gold plated the earring backs should also be sterling silver gold plated. In the picture you can see the poor quality of the earring back for only a 2 day couple hours wear.
