Very comfortable shoes, good support. I have a difficult time finding shoes in extra wide widths. These shoes are wonderful and not only do they fit, they are good looking

The quality of the shoes is outstanding, you can clean it very easily, and they’re so comfortable to slide on and slide off. They are absolutely the lightest white shoes I have, which makes working out and walking around shops so much more, the color is outstanding, and I have got so many compliments on the look

The shoes fit, and have great cushioning and stability. I have posterior tibia tendinitis, and these shoes minimize the condition. I have had 10-15 pairs if the 847 series, and in recent years thought they weren’t as good as they once were. I bought 2 other brands that I liked but that didn’t have quite as much support. Decided to give NB another chance and am glad I did. Very happy with them !!

I’m going on a trip to Ireland, where there will be lots of walking uphill and down, as I’m staying in the mountains. Good shoes with excellent support are a must.
The style of these walkers is far from pretty, but they checked all the boxes. I have worn New Balance before. The shoes have some ventilation, good arches, and rounded toes. They come in extra wide, helpful to my arthritic flat feet.
This week I tried them out while doing some errands and grocery shopping. There was no break-in period at all. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on.
I see the word “hole” checked in the suggested topics. Yes, the eyelet holes are not well punched, and it took some effort to force the laces through. I could not insert them into the topmost holes.
The other drawback — these shoes were NOT pristine and new. One did not have the wad of paper inside, and the lacing had been somewhat changed.
I considered returning them. But then, how many times are the shoes purchased in a store tried on by other customers? There seemed to be no damage, just the icky feeling that someone else had worn at least one of them.
The shoes and I head to Ireland in a while. If they don’t serve me well, I will update this review, but I am thinking they will probably be fine.

Rollbar tech is strong with this shoe. Very supportive.
In the never ending quest to find a 1123 true replacement…this is not it. I can tolerate these on for 20 minutes then my foot goes numb. Fit is correct, but these are worse misery then 1540’s to my feet. Which is a shame, these are very pretty. but its like strapping a board to my feet and lacing it on tight, there is zero give anywhere, walking is slapping your foot down flat and push off is the same pick up and stomp like a angry toddler storming around.
They are super supportive, and rollbar tech is great for my feet. Fit was absolutely perfect, everything I expect from New Balance to be absolutely true to size, well constructed, not overly heavy but not lightweight either…substantial. Very nice toe-box space my toes were not squished feeling.
you have tall feet(from sole to top of foot) you will not be getting an insole in there, even with me pulling the laces out as far as possible it still pressed on the top of my foot, which is why I suspect my foot goes numb in 20 minutes, it cuts off circulation.
Give them a try, maybe they’ll be for you, they aren’t for me, but everyone’s feet are different.

Extra room in the toe box is great. After long wear, my previous walking shoes created blisters on the outside of my big toes. These shoes accommodated the blisters (now gone) and I have had no pain, even walking up to 1.5 miles at a time.

I love the 847 series with the wide toe box. A size 8 always fits me.

I love these shoes. To be fair, I knew what to expect. I have been wearing the New Balance rollbar shoes for many years now. Someone who gave them a negative review said they didn’t have cushion and it was like stomping around like a tantruming toddler. If I’m being honest, I’d say that’s my default walk anyway. I knew the shoes wouldn’t feel like I was walking on clouds. They are built for support. In my opinion, they offer the right amount of cushion. If you need supportive shoes that keep your ankle stable, these will not disappoint. Since my doctor recommended New Balance shoes with the rollbar after my ankle replacement surgery, I haven’t gotten anything else.
