These shoes are easy to put on and you don’t have to bother tying your shoes (mine like to come untied) and I can wear them to work as well as anywhere else. The only things to watch out for are that the tongue is a bit long and it pokes my shin, though the shoes feel like they are about 1/2 size larger than what I get with my Brooks shoes. I have room in both the front and back but they stay in place because of the straps.

New Balance used to be “my brand” but a few years ago I had to return a pair because the base of the tongues were unfinished and very uncomfortable. Fought shy after that, bought a Propert pair which have done me good service except the narrow toe box took some stretching. Decided to try NB again since Amazon’s return process is very easy. Ordered my usual 8.5 wide but they were just too short. Don’t know if it was my aging feet or something off with the size. Tried 9 wide and they are perfect, go figure.
No breaking in needed.

So, the way I got turned on to these shoes was through a friend. She is an older working woman, (I am a young working woman), and she gave me a pair of these that she had worn through and let me tell you man, those were genuinely the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever worn. My feet are wide and the shoes were not, so due to them being so comfortable, I was then forced to buy a new pair and they are just wonderful. I genuinely couldn’t recommend these enough. They offer great arch and ankle support, they’re ridiculously comfortable, and they’re really cute chunky white dad shoes. My one note is that they run a little narrow, so if you have a wider foot you may want to buy a wide pair in your size rather than just going up a size. Seriously tho, I never write reviews, but these shoes are so good I had to. Highly recommend them especially for older people, (but I also love them as a 26 yr old). The shoe size I purchase was an 8 1/2 wide and they fit perfectly. These shoes are so good that when they eventually are ran through, I’m planning on just buying another identical pair. I’m almost certain these are the only pair of tennis shoes I’m going to wear for years to come.

Very happy with purchase. Wear them all day in complete comfort. Yes Velcro straps are not positioned perfectly and not quite long enough, but they work and stay in place. Shoe tongues were stiff for one day but have posed no issues. I have swollen feet and ankles and have no issues with these shoes, I walk 2 miles a day in them plus all day around the house doing chores.

This is my fourth pair of these shoes. I wear them almost every day until they fall apart. I just wish I could get the Velcro fastening ones in the U.K. still and don’t have to get them sent over from the USA. How about it, New Balance? My husband loves his too….

I’m not sure if this is just better for people with specific types of feet, but it hurt mine and I couldn’t keep it. The “tongue” of the shoe is a bit sturdy and hurts the upper area of my foot, and the support on the bottom feels a bit flat. Maybe I’m just too picky, idk. I bought this because a friend has it and it looks suuper cute. She’s on her 2nd pair and absolutely loves it–says it fits her perfectly and that it is super comfortable!
I guess it might just be my feet’s format that’s weird.
In either case, it’s a good quality shoe! The material is great, very sturdy and padded!

I like hook and loop as I find it difficult to tie laces. I like walking and these shoes are perfect for walking.

Too tight. The Velcro straps bared touched when the shoe was on. I couldn’t bend my feet at all when walking. Sadly, I will return them and look for something with a wider width. Beautifully made shoe in spite of them not fitting me.
