I’ve had these shoes for two days and can’t comment on how durable they are. Gave them four stars bc of that. I ordered my usual size and they fit. My foot is average width. The best part is that they feel great. I have old broken toes on each foot. On long walks in my usual athletic shoes, my toes can get very sore. The wide toe box and stretchy material assures no pressure on my toes and no pain. I like the thin flexible sole. It’s good to be able to feel what I’m walking on. If these fall apart I’ll get another pair because they feel great and they look better than I expected.

I needed a shoe for the pool or for washing the car or being outside doing yard work that was rugged and light and easy to clean. This is such a great fitting shoe. Love the tread on it. Feels very stable on my foot and provides ample cushion without being too tight. I wore them to the pool but did not go I. With them on but I think these would be ideal for boaters or watercraft at the lake or days at the beach. They are attractive and more secure than a flip flop and provide protection for your entire foot without being a bulky sneaker. I think they are comfortable enough to use on camping trips and moderate hiking as well. Just so well made for the price. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend! They fit like a glove and I have not had any issues so far.

I got these when I couldn’t find the same model of barefoot Merrell running shoes that I had before, chancing it that a much cheaper pair might be OK.
Initially I didn’t like them as much, I thought they were rubbing slightly on the outer side of one foot. (This is my larger foot which was as a result of a calcaneal fracture years ago). But having stuck with them, I now love them. I have wide feet, and can be anywhere between 6 and 7, but I ordered 6.5 and they are great (though 7 would probably have been fine too). I always wear them with trainer socks.
They are so comfortable. I think the sole is more foot shaped than the old Merrells, which is good. The bottom is slightly thinner, I think, but still thick enough that stony paths are not hurting the bottoms of your feet.
I do loads of stuff in these, from dog walking, to running, to long hilly hikes. No problems at all. Obviously they would not be great in very wet, muddy, or boggy conditions, but having said that, I got my feet soaked in them stepping in a bog on the moor top, and they didn’t rub despite still having 2+ miles to go. When running, they will make you run toe to heel without thinking about it, which means your knees do not take as much impact.
With having had a serious foot fracture and uneven posture for years, I really think barefoot shoes have helped me strengthen my bad foot, because you have to use your feet muscles more (sometimes consciously), and not be reliant on the buoyancy of regular trainers. The extra effort has helped me to even out my posture, and even up the size of that calf muscle in comparison to my other calf.
Barefoot trainers typically have thinner soles than regular trainers, which means they will wear out quicker. Which means you will have to replace them more often. Which means that I’m happy with the lower cost of these, compared to Merrell’s barefoot shoes.
Having worn barefoot shoes now for the last 2 or 3 years, I wouldn’t go back to normal trainers. I would be very happy to buy these again when the soles wear out. I would recommend, even if you only want them for slobbing around the house, they are really comfy!
Also, I think they would be fine if you put them in the washing machine, though I’ve not tried that yet.

I’m adding to my original review below…I’ve worn the dark grey ones for a few months and the size is perfect. I ordered the all black ones to have another pair but the style is a bit different and they are a snugger fit. Still awesome, but I recommend going up a size if you are buying the all black style. I will be returning them and purchasing the next size.
I’ve been a barefoot distance runner for years running in the Merrel Trail and Vapour Gloves. They changed the design and fit of those shoes and they were no longer comfortable. After I broke a bone in my foot, I feared barefoot running was over for me.
I decided to give these a try as they seemed to offer a touch of extra padding under the big toe (where my injury was), while still maintaining a barefoot feel. I found them true to size with extra room in the toe box…which is necessary when barefoot running as your toes need ample room to splay naturally without feeling confined. This was an amazing feature compared to the Merrel barefoot shoes which are VERY narrow. They are very much a barefoot shoe but offer a slight amount of cushion under the big toe and heel which make your feet very happy. They are breathable and don’t smell at all. I recommend airing them out after each run…meaning don’t keep them sealed in a gym bag or cupboard and you won’t have any issues. I have never worn socks (which you shouldn’t in barefoot shoes) and have accumulated about 150 miles worth of running in them in the last 4 months. They don’t smell AT ALL and they look brand new! I couldn’t be happier with them. I’ve never gotten a blister or formed calluses as I have in other barefoot shoes. The interior is nice and soft. The price point is the cherry on top! Half the price of other barefoot shoes on the market!!
I’m buying another pair to add to my collection.
Don’t hesitate to buy these because they are inexpensive, they are a quality and comfortable barefoot shoe!!
Happy running!!

I ordered these after some hesitation as these don’t belong to a famous brand. But the shoes are very comfortable and give a great barefoot feel, along with having the needed cushion.
I use these in the gym during weight training. Not for running though as I still need my cushion shoes for that. I can be in these shoes all day long with no knee pain or tiredness. Love them for walking as well.
Highly recommended

These shoes are well made, they have a wide toe box, a comfortable insert with a slight arch. The sole is fairly thick with a good amount of traction. They come in many different fun and cute colors. The material breathes and could be thrown into the wash machine for an easy clean. The price was perfect for these shoes, not too cheap and not too expensive. They look to be pretty durable and have helped with pain in my feet. I actually ended up buying a second pair, one for inside the house and one for outside.

These shoes are phenomenal and extremely comfortable. They are by far my favorite shoes that I have ever purchased. They feel like butter putting them on and are spacious in all the right places but also form well to the foot. This is truly a barefoot shoe and makes walking feel very nice and all the more enjoyable. They actually made me want to go on walks much more just for the pleasure of walking in them.
Mind you, this is truly a barefoot shoe, so if you are looking for lots of support, this does not provide that. However, in my case, that is precisely what I was looking for and why I got them.
At first it was discombobulating for my toes having so much space because they have always been compressed with other shoes, as most shoes are so restraining and encourage unhealthy toe form, but once I got my bearing it felt absolutely wonderful and made me wonder why I have never worn shoes like this until now.
Also worth noting, due to the lack of aforementioned padding, it makes you more cognizant of working on the outer part of your foot and not collapsing inward. I enjoy this because it conditions me to strengthen my foot and ankle for proper foot posture. However, this lack of support may be off-putting for some and thus worth mentioning.
I highly recommend this shoe. I even bought another for a friend and they immediately loved theirs as well and now use it for work. I love the design and have received many compliments for them. I cannot recommend this shoe enough.

I have wide feet and high arches and these shoes are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever put my feet in. I was barefoot for the majority of my childhood and most of my young adult life I wore converse or flats. Any time I try to wear tennis shoes my feet and calves cramp and I can only wear them for a very short time. A family member gave me some hokas not too long ago and while they are comfy, I find that my feet slide off their super thick sole if I wear them on uneven ground. We have a small homestead and I work outside all day every day and I had just started wearing sandals or swim shoes to work outside in because all my other shoes were very uncomfortable.
I ordered these because I felt like they were a cross between a swim shoe and tennis shoes, they had a wide toe box for my wide feet, and they looked easy to slip off and on. They have met or exceeded every expectation! I’ve had no problem with my feet slipping and sliding around in the shoe. The sole is thick enough that walking on rocks doesn’t hurt my heels, which has been a problem with my swim shoes and sandals. 2 years ago I stepped on a rock and bruised my heel so bad that it hurt constantly for a solid year. I do NOT want to do that again. I’m on my feet all day every day and the majority of that time is spent on rock so I definitely need a good sole. These shoes are great at offering the protection I need without having a big bulky sole, plus they offer the perfect amount of support my feet need and are still flexible enough to make walking on uneven ground easy.
I really can’t wait to test these out when we go huckleberry hunting. I always wear my swim shoes when we go because I usually wind up climbing up a steep hillside several times in search of an untouched patch of huckles. The tread on the sole looks incredibly grippy and I’m hoping that is the case…. we will see very soon if they are! I can’t wait to put them to the test.
These are so comfortable and I really bought them to be my designated work shoes but I’m probably going to buy another pair or two in different colors. I got the blue ones and they are very bright, I love the color but they don’t match much of my wardrobe. So I’ll probably order some in a more neutral color for going to town.
The first day I had them I wore them without socks, which was what I hoped to be able to do, however, since I don’t really wear “real” shoes very often, they were starting to rub my heel. I have been wearing some light low cut socks and that solved that problem. Not sure if it was the shoe or if it was my heel, but everything is good now that I am wearing socks.
Time will tell on how durable these shoes are, but rest assured I will be putting them through the wringer. They feel very durable, hopefully they will last me a long time. I really like them so far and want some more!
