I read the reviews saying to size down but I always get a size 9 in doc’s (I have a lot of their shoes) and I’m a 9.5 in other shoes so I thought a size 9 would be fine. But no! I had to return them for an 8. They do look very cute and I know how comfortable they can be once they are broken in so I hope it will be a good fit. Please size down!

I have loved Dr Martens since the 90s and have owned several pair. I was looking for a pair of shoes just like this and was excited to buy them.
I bought a size down and the fit is great- well it WILL be great once I finish breaking them in. And they look fabulous on and will be perfect for work attire or just with jeans.
Definitely worth the money!

These look and feel amazing even after recovering from foot surgery. They have the sturdiness of traditional Docs with the cuteness of a Maryjane all with the confidence of a platform block heel. Love is an understatement! I feel the way I want to feel while wearing Docs plus extra powerful and feminine.

I looooove these shoes so much. I wear a 8.5-9 in women’s and an 8 in docs. I ordered the 8 and was worried they were a bit too big, so I ordered the 7 which was just a bit too small… returned the 7 and kept the 8, happy I did. The 7s were a little cramped in the toe box but fit otherwise, however the 8s allowed for socks and a comfier fit. Unlike other docs I didn’t think there would be much stretch to these after wear and tear, so I didn’t want to keep the 7s and try to stretch them. Some reviewers had issues with the straps being too short but I don’t have that issue, and I think the straps are the one thing that will stretch with use.
TLDR; buy them if you can figure out the sizing, and definitely go one size down, maybe even two!

These are super cute in person, clunky and heavy, but still I feel like they’re flattering. They aren’t super cushy on the inside, but they aren’t uncomfortable either, I wouldn’t wear them for a ton of standing or walking, but I’ve been wearing them around my house for about ten hours to break them in and it’s fine. The wide base makes them feel very stable, and the platform under the toe mitigates the heel height so it looks crazy high but doesn’t feel like it.
I feel like they do run at least a size large, I had to size down two sizes in these, and also in the Chesney boots which share the same heel style. Or maybe they’re true to size, since I have 9.5 wide wide wide feet and always have to size up to 11 in docs to accommodate width and high insteps 😛 The fit on the size 9 is perfection though, they’re great for my wide feet. I had to add holes to the straps, but I always have to do that, please MaryJane strap deities, add more holes and longer straps for all the high instep peeps in the world.

I own 4 other pairs of docs in sandals, dress shoes, and boots and I am a solid 8 for all four; however, these do run big. I did try them on with doc socks and there is still a large gap by the heel. Don’t worry if you have wide feet like myself bc the buckle straps are adjustable. Doc Martens are always cute yet functional, haha. I ordered a size down and I will leave another review once they arrive.

I wanted these shoes to work. I order them in 2 different sizes. I had to return them both. Traditional Doc Martins are heavy but flat. I thought I was prepared for the heft but it felt like I had bricks strapped to my feet secured by uncomfortable straps. Also the curve from the heel to the ball of the foot seemed to be in the wrong place. Traditional Docs are thick-soled but flat. The heel was a mistake. The shoe is super cute but not well made.
