This is a great shoe purchased for camping, kayaking and short hikes. Very comfortable. Straps are adjustable all over, great design.

These sandals were recommended for some of my favorite water activities like paddle boarding and river floats. They are comfortable, snug and ensure I can walk with confidence in a rocky river

I got these because they were on sale, and I didn’t want to deal with an in-between-the-toe sandal (the usual style for this brand) or the plastic triangles situated right above the pinkie toe (Teva).
The bad first: My foot lay slanted in the footbed. I had plenty of room (too much) lengthwise for my foot to fit — but because of the strange shape of the footbed itself, my foot was just… slanted. Wanting to hang off. It was the strangest thing! The footbed LOOKED fantastic without my foot in them (great support around the heel and overall shape)… but it absolutely did not work for me.
That said, if your reason for not getting these is because the straps “aren’t adjustable” — not true. They are. It’s ingenious they way they’re designed: it’s really one long strap that feeds into the footbed of the shoe itself. So to adjust one visible strap area, you pull on another, and the strap moves through the shoe similar to laces in a tennis shoe. If you get a shoe that fits you correctly, that would make for a nearly perfectly customizable shoe, all with just one clasp. There is a how-to video someplace in a review or answered question (search “adjustable straps” on this page) that shows it really well.
Also, while the clasp is a bit big and clunky, the straps themselves are the perfect combination of soft and durable.
So. These shoes certainly are not for me, but in my own search, I did not read a single review from another person who had the same slanted issue that I’d had. There were just a lot of people who couldn’t figure out the super secret strap adjustment. I recommend trying them! Maybe a half size down from your regular size. If these fit your foot well, they are great quality!

Bought to replace an old pair. Have no issues breaking this one in. The footbed and straps soft are softer, and overall lighter weight. Couldn’t be happier!

These shoes have a good look to them. Totally adjustable for a snug fit. I think I would go crazy having to adjust them every time I put them on though. I appreciate the fact that the straps don’t go over the toes. The foot bed is more firm with very little cushion to them. I like more cushion. The arches are high and I really couldn’t figure out exactly where to place my foot to get the best comfort. It makes me think that I would not get used to them and cause more pain than comfort. These may work for you if you need high firm arch supports. I have thick ankles, but the strap was so long anyway that it was on the ground. If it drags on the ground, I doubt the end of the strap will last as long as it should. I sent these back so I never walked around in them. I can only review them from trying them on. I knocked off a star for the overly long strap.
Excuse my left toes. They don’t look like that. I must’ve curled them under while I bent all the way over to take a pic.

Sizing down worked out for me as I’m normally a 10.5 so I went for the 10s and they fit perfectly. Feels pretty secure on the river and traction on rocks is also good.

I read many reviews of various Chacos and ultimately settled upon these sandals. They are worth every penny. I have very high arches and need support, but I also don’t want to wear geriatric footwear. I also needed something that could take the wear and tear of daily walks. I would absolutely recommend these as they’ve held up well over the past several months, including exposure to rain, the ocean, and uneven natural terrain. They are comfortable and provide the support I need. I can’t say anything about running in them, but I imagine they’d work as far as running in sandals go. Highly recommended!

Love these sandals! I’ve been searching for 2 years for a comfortable walking sandal. This one has a squishy yet super-supportive foot bed and adjustable straps. Be sure to read (and maybe hold onto) the cardboard insert in the shoe box. It shows you how to adjust the straps so they fit you perfectly. I love the arches and appreciate how it cradles my foot. I have a narrow heel and a wider toe box so I wasn’t sure how they’d be but they fit great! Highly recommend!

I love these sandals. They give my arthritic ankles all the support I need all day long. They are easily adjusted so they fit snug and are easy to put on and take off.
